Are you thinking about importing your Amazon products from another country? Do you know all the logistics involved with importing? Today Robyn talks with Jennifer Moser of Think Cascadia and Cascadia Seller Solutions about all things importing and what you need to do to make certain that your business is ready to handle all the customs requirements, import fees, and meeting Amazons requirements. Robyn and Jennifer talk about how important it is to have a customs broker, and what you can and cannot do when you start importing.
They also cover when you should start thinking about Q4 when it comes to importing your Q4 products. Amazon starts thinking about Q4 in January! And so should you! You never know when a shipment will be held up in customs and you never want to run in to a situation where you’re stuck holding your Q4 inventory until next year because you couldn’t get your items in to Amazon on time.
Jennifer is an experienced professional in the import trade and logistics world, having worked for Amazon’s Trade Compliance team as a Global Trade Manager as well as managing the Product Safety team. Jennifer supports sellers with determining the correct HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) code for their product, achieving competitive freight rates for ocean and air, and experience in regulatory compliance and product testing.
